This split cd features hardcore from 2 sides of the world. First up are 7 CROWD DETERRENT songs of ugly real life hardcore from the mean streets of one of the USA's worst cities, Youngstown OH. This is some of the angriest and most pissed off straight up hardcore I've heard in awhile. It's like a mix of the fast, upbeat parts of Slapshot and the bitterness and brutality of Bulldoze. All wrapped up in a ball of "take no shit" type attitude. The following 7 tracks are from Crowd Deterrents brothers in arms CREEPOUT. You wouldn't even know that these guys were coming all of the way from Japan because you could have sworn they were born and raised on the streets of Cleveland. There's a strong Confront / Meanstreak / One Life Crew vibe going on mixed with some slow moving heavy hardcore in the vein of the last Think I Care album. Overall this CD has 14 tracks of no nonsense street wise core tracking in at just shy of 30 minutes. It is in a slimline case with a nice looking photocopied insert but for $5 you can't beat it and both bands recordings sound very good!
